If you don't have a budget, why not just build a 60% board? That's what I use daily, anyway. 

 

I would suggest a Planck, as I just built one, but ortholinear isn't for everyone, and it can be a bit of a pain to get used to. Particularly the fact that there is only one Shift button, and it's on the left side. I tend to use both Shifts, so that's somewhat bothersome for me. Also, the enter key is one row lower than is typical, which can be hard to get used to. So I suggest a 60%!!!

 

Pok3r would be a good choice if you don't want to build one.
