I have a thin power cord for my monitor and a thick one for my pc. I wanted to know if its ok to use the thin cord on my pc, and the thick one on my monitor for only from friday at night to sunday until say 4pm.

It might not be able to provide enough power for the system but I'm not too knowledgeable with this so thats just my 2 cents

If they both have the same connectors they might work. I believe they're standard. Do you have a picture?

Generally it's fine, however those power cords usually have a rating on them which would provide a more exacting answer. It honestly depends on your systems power draw, which is likely considerably less than the rating for the cord.

This begs the question of why do you need to switch the cords?
