Laptop Issues

So my laptop is having some issues. I  got it at the beginning of September last year it is a Toshiba satellite L50d c00u with an amd a6 7310 an 8 gb of ram its always overheating when doing basic tasks like browsing the web or editing word documents the fan gets very noisy and every now and then it will shut down because its to hot the battery is advertised to last atleast 5 hours but i have been getting about 3 hours when just using the web and word i go back to school in 2 days and if its still doing this i will be in trouble for not having a laptop that lasts more than a full day any solutions other than laptop coolers?

5 hours with an extremely light load. Buy a new battery, just a spare to keep that's charged.

If you're comfortable tearing it down, the thermal paste they use on laptops is horrible. Just replacing it can drop temps by almost 10c

Dust it out, any dust on the heatsink can really raise temps since the heatsink is probably 7cm x 7cm and probably 1.25cm thick so doesn't take much

i will clean out the fans and see if that helps thanks
