Build Help For A Game Server/NAS Combo?

Go to solution Solved by Streetguru,

I need to get a NAS, But I also want to have it be powerful enough to run a game server or 2(minecraft/ARK - 24/7 , and cs:go periodically), as me and a group of mine all record and want a place to

Ya naw that's like complete overkill

Real NAS' have ECC though, so consider getting a server board for the Xeon here with 32gbs of ECC memory

If you want more storage get HGST 4TB drives

https://pcpartpicker.com/part/hitachi-internal-hard-drive-0s03664

Otherwise you can run virtual machines for the game servers from free NAS

I need to get a NAS, But I also want to have it be powerful enough to run a game server or 2(minecraft/ARK - 24/7 , and cs:go periodically), as me and a group of mine all record and want a place to offload the raw footage, but we also are looking around for a server powerful enough To run a few game servers for recording/public use And the problem i have is i dont know much about servers and what i do i want to confirm  as 2500 is a large sum to build something i don't personally even know will work -.- .

I prefer intel, but it doesnt really matter

Mine craft uses a lot of ram as we are running modded, the one we rent uses almost 10 GBs of our 16.

then the file server i know wouldn't be that resource intensive, but once more minecraft modded can use multiple threads.

If you feel like adding or changing the build feel free!(its kinda the reason for being here lol) ~Cheers

~Build~

Included a cheap video card as I wasn't sure if you were going to run this headless.
