A year ago i got a new computer,it was better than my old HP. The problem is after playing all the old games i play in the past ,i wonder should i get a ps4,ps3,or wait until i get the pc that can handle ps4 titles cause really i have no patience right now ;(.Even if i chose ps4 i have to pay the multiplayer per year like the xbox360 which my dad doesn't like.I also hate how you have to pay over $1000 for a gaming pc,right now i just worry about playing the game without lose too much frame rates so honestly i can't chose.I also forgot,i need a NVIDIA graphics card not AMD thanks ;).

computer specs:

-Intel core 2 duo 2.66GHz

-Nividia gt 220

-4 GB or ram

This will cream any "console" and will last you years.

PS: If you have DDR3 RAM (that 4GB) put it in this system instead of buying new 8Gb, same can be said for any spare HHD you have laying around and save yourself even more.

Wait, so what are the specs on the computer you're using now?

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

You don't need $1000 for a gaming PC.

If you live in the states, $500 would do you just fine playing games better than the XBOX and PS4.

Yeah you don't have to pay $1,000 at all. And look at my sig OP ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) you don't even need much $ at all

My ~$200 USD build:

AMD A8-7600    G. Skill Ripjaws Z @1800 CAS 8     EVGA 500w 80+ PSU    Gigabyte GAF2A68HM-DS2H Motherboard

500$ would match a PS4 + all the other PC benefits. For highend gaming you have to spend way more though.

Well.. when you tick it to Canada, the total goes to $923... which is a fair bit more than the $834 in your list there  B)

edit: Balls, I didn't see the prices missing from the motherboard and PSU on your list.  You win.

How can that can play today games like gta 5 or far cry?

1080p medium-high should run with decent frames in most games. Ultra settings is where things get nasty in games like Gta5 witcher3 or fallout4.

Oh, I thought that was "my old HP"... especially since you said you got a new computer a year ago.  Those are not "new" or even "a year ago" specs :)
