Hey guys,

So, I see a lot of benchmarks about the R9 380, and how it reaches up and around 70-75 degrees.

Mine is overclocked by 100Mhz on both Core and Mem, and yet, I never see my temps go above 55, even while the GPU is maxed.

I have the cheapest shit case ever, and shitty airflow. Why are my temps so good?

Silicon Lottery? Possible that the benchmarked 380´s were ref. or overclocked more.

Well the sensor might be off slightly, but that's a huge difference. What cooler do you have? (and are fans running @100% or something)

Fans never go above 50% (I'm being a bit generous here. My fans typically sit at around 20-35%)

if it was open air test bench, then that would be probable, but you said that that the case has poor airflow, so my ideas end here...

high ASIC quality maybe?

Could I put it through some tests and sell it for more than I bought it? :)

highly unlikely. If it overclocked like a beast, then maybe, but if it manages to get standard OC results while being cooler than typical 380, then no.

Yeah, it seems to get unstable any over 100Mhz, but it also won't let me play with the voltage...
