Windows backup help

Hey so move this thread if it's in the wrong place.

 

So I pirated Starwars I-VI and now I have adware up the butthole.

Becaus I'm a procrastinator didn't do proper backups and antivirus claims nothing is wrong I'm just gonna reinstall. Few things:

 

I have me an external HDD, but there seems to be so many backup options or I'm just not understanding something, so:

 

Can I do a files backup so I can bring my important data over without bring the virus over? 

(My Docs, Pics, Vids, Desktop, maybe even steam library if that's not too wishful of thinking)

I can reinstall programs but I can't replace files.

 

I upgraded from win 7, how do I create a bootable drive to reinstall win10?

first use the kaspersky av tool to somewhat clean out the system

then use malwarebytes 

then backup your data to the external hdd

then  wipe the os out and do a clean install

Not to be an ass, but if you managed to get adware pirating movies, you really need to spend a lot of time educating yourself before you pirate anywhere else. If you know what you're doing, getting movies should be the safest of things to get.

Trust me I'm very very aware of my own ignorance when it comes to pirating but that is completely irrelevant.
