Does SLI use ram?

Does SLI use ram cause when i added my 2nd card it ate up 1gb of my ram and task manager shows it as "Hardware Reserved"?

One gig is for the os.

It wasn't using it before i added the 2nd card?

Check if your integrated is using it in the BIOS.

It's not and if it would be it would show in device manager.

5) Maximum memory

I tried turning off the max ram and rebooted still using 1GB.

 

I tried maxing out the max ram with the 8...mb ram and 4 cpu cores and restarted still 1GB.
