OS re-installation

I'm moving over a new MOBO and CPU into my rig and was told I should reinstall windows 7 after I do this... Windows 7 is currently on my SSD, I intend to reinstall it back on to my SSD, does this mean that I should move over my files from SSD to HDD that I want to keep or will the re install not wipe the SSD?

It's just as easy as dragging and dropping what i want to keep on to my HDD and then when i reinstall on my SDD everything will work just fine?

yes essentially. just be sure you do not format or install the OS on your HDD by accident and you should be golden!

During install Windows will ask if you want old OS to be saved as windows.old. That will leave all files in Users folder and Programs Files/Data folders to SSD. Anything other you need to move manually.
