The ssd? replace it with lower 120gbs to go with HHD. You can buy Microsoft key off reddit (Microsoftsoftwareswap) to save a 50 dollars.

He either needs to upgrade the 4460 to a 4690k or get a cheaper motherboard as having a z97 board with a locked cpu is pointless, also tell him to get windows at the subreddit that I put in the build.

Don't need the Z97 board, should get a single stick of 8GBs of RAM

And otherwise add whatever else you were going to get, but you should get a free-sync display

 

the wireless adapter you have is fine, probably best in class right now 

I'd maybe just stick to cheap Chinese keyboards and mice, they honestly work pretty well for the money. Utech Saturn and Redragon M601 to be exact, under $50 for the both

 

the display I included has the same specs, but with free-sync for smoother gameplay at the same price even
