Laptop won't boot after moving lots of data into a USB stick

lucagrabacr

So, I just finished my PC build and was in the process of moving pretty much everything on my laptop to my PC through a USB drive. Then I download something on the laptop and leave it overnight, then the next morning when I tried to wake it up it says it had an unexpected shut down, and I chose to boot normally (not using safe mode) but a few seconds later it just shuts itself down.

I tried booting it up again, this time it says Windows failed and it gave me two options, I think one of them is to run the Windows repair tool, and the other one is to boot normally. The thing is, no matter what I choose the laptop keeps on shutting itself down a few seconds after. Even if I don't choose any of the options, it'd shut itself down after a few seconds.

I've tried removing the battery and running on the power cord alone, but that didn't work either.

Anyone knows what the problem might be?

Remove battery, power cord, hold power button for a few seconds.

Retry with just power cord.

Windows might be corrupted. Try reinstalling with a windows disk. And pray it isn't your drive.

Which version of Windows are you running?

Mystery is the source of all true science.
