CS:GO Sensitivity too high?

Go to solution Solved by LokiFire,

Ok lol i will try out some sensitivity's, but do you use your arm to aim or your wrist?

I use both depending on the type of movement needed.

Hey guys, so alot of you people play csgo right? good i was just wondering if my sensitivity is too high to having a decent shot...

Mouse: Logitech G502 (no weights installed on the bottom of the mouse)

Mouse Sensitivity: 1550 DPI

CSGO Sensitivity: 1.86

People in the comment section of csgo videos always say crap like "oh my dpi is 400/800 and ingame is 1.2/1.3 and no one ever mentions a DPI/sensitivity as high as mine...

I prefer to wrist aim than arm aim cus arm aim gives me serious pain in my tendines. So back to my point is my sensitivity too high to have a decent shot?

My rank ingame is MG1 (was DMG before the update) and i just needed some input on if i wanted to reach global do i need to have a lower sensitivity?

I know sensitivity is very personal preference but i do know some sensitivity's are too high and or are to low :P

good lord... your sense is fine but i would suggest using a lower DPI. I use the same mouse with 800 DPI and 1.47 sense. My friend uses 800 and 5.xx and I'm just like how do you even control that... but yeah. Just lower your DPI some until you feel like you have better control over your movements and aim in the game.

my mouse is 5500 dpi :3 i don’t think so, i play on 5500 dpi and the max mouse sensitivity and i get good shots (still feels slow)

That's your framerate not your mouse.

A mouse's native DPI is usually more accurate when tracking than using other DPI settings. In the end it comes down to personal preference, if you can use a 2cm per 360 there's no reason you should move to 30cm/360 just because more people play like that. However aiming with your arm tends to give smoother mouse movement as your wrist and hand have tiny micro-movements that can throw your mouse off from where you think it was supposed to be, with a low sensitivity these don't have much effect but at a higher sensitivity it could be the difference between hitting a headshot or not. Aiming with your wrists provides fine grained movement but when you get your sensitivity low enough you can aim using your arm and still make fine adjustments because a large arm movement is a small crosshair movement.

It really just depends on the gun and the scenario for me. I mostly use my wrist (like 96% of the time) but there are times I will use my arm for closer range engagements. Doesn't make sense but I've noticed I do it sometimes.

I use 450 DPI and 2.3 sens in game with .83 zoom sensitivity.

Mind you it's going to vary between people. but i'd say drop the DPI and up the sens imo.

This is a gameplay clip of me. I can usually go 40/20 in a death match.

Yes, i did decide to have some fun while editing this. Probably more cheese than anything else.
