I'm currently using my third DeathAdder. I've always loved the design and it's been by far the most comfortable mouse I've ever used but frankly, Razer's QC is rubbish. This one currently has a very unresponsive left click button and right now I'm planning on buying a replacement mouse before getting this one RMA'd.

So, what are your recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

Any mouse, cause it doesn't matter.

Everyone is trying to tell you how comfortable their mouse is and that their mouse is the most comfortable mouse ever build and that their sensor is 0.00001 nanometer preciser than all the other sensors, but I think that this is mostly nonsense.

I switched from my DeathAdder to a Mionix 7000 and after a few hours of use I didn't feel any difference.

Btw.: My DeathAdder works fine after almost 3 years.

Zowie EC1-A.

My history is that I used and loved an IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0, however I felt that the flimsy side buttons were an issue, so I got a DeathAdder. Well, it developed the (already) notorious right-click issue, so I figured I'd get something else. After checking out some places, people were recommending a Zowie EC1 Evo. I bought it... and it was wonderful. It had none of the original DeathAdder's issues (glossy sides, questionable performance at non-1800 dpi settings, etc) and it was of a fairly similar design.

It has now been 3 years since I got my Zowie EC1 Evo. Right now, it's sitting in front of me on my desk as my secondary mouse that my little sister uses. It still works perfectly and I have had zero issues with it.

Two things to be mindful about Zowie: Their products are completely driverless and non-customizable. This means that the EC1-A has 4 DPI settings that you can cycle through with a hardware button on the bottom of the mouse. You cannot change what those settings are. The mousewheel has an LED that changes based on the DPI you have selected. You cannot turn the LED off or choose which colour represents which DPI setting.

I own and use, sorted from newest to oldest: SteelSeries 6Gv2. Microsoft SideWinder X4. Mionix Naos 7000. Zowie EC1 Evo. Microsoft SideWinder X8. Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0. Dell U2414H. Samsung P2270H. AKG K273 Pro. Sennheiser HD555. Razer Goliathus Speed Medium. Func 1030 L. Qpad CT Medium.

I used to own: Razer DeathAdder 3G. Razer Krait. IntelliMouse Optical 1.1. SteelSeries QcK.
