Hi, I have a 1440p monitor, can play you tube but as soon as I try to play a game it crashes about 10 seconds into gameplay. The fans still work on it so I am unsure what the problem might be, I have an older card witch works ok (on very low settings). It isn't overheating, just crashing, have tried HDMI, Displayport and DVI, is it possible part of the card no longer works? It is 2 years old, but I have pushed it pretty hard playing on high settings for extended periods, just confused as it still works ok for everything else. Just want to know if the card is fried, or if I can save it?

Thanks in advance.

If we're going to troubleshoot we need to get a little background on this.

First off did the card stop working after you got the 1440P monitor or did it stop working prior to that? When the card was working did you have it overclocked then? The card only crashes when you try to put it under a 3D load right? I see you said it still works ok for everything else so I just want to make sure that's what you're saying, also is it just crashing on one game or is it when it's under any 3D load? Is anything else in your system overclocked?

I see you said you updated to the latest drivers, did you make sure to cleanly remove the previous drivers through DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)? If not I'd do that first then reinstall the drivers. You can download DDU here: http://www.wagnardmobile.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=164

If it doesn't work with Crimson I'd try going back to a previous version from when it was still Catalyst Control Center and see if it works then, be sure to uninstall Crimson with DDU when you try this as well.

Go ahead and try this and then let us know and we'll take it further if need be.
