Unlock Chromebooks

Hi there.

College gave me a chromebook (Lenovo N21) but it´s got most of it´s features locked, such as powerwash, developer mode, they force re-enrollement and many other things that make our chromebooks almost useless.

They also spy us, they install keyloggers, screen recorders, and even record us with the web cam and microphone both at college and at home.

So, what can I do against this other than putting some tape over the cam and mic, can i FULLY erase all ssd data or somehow bypass restrictions?

First they don't record you through the webcam and microphone. But they do have keyloggers. To get around all this just take the battery out plug it into the charger and go in dev mode. BTW they have all this stuff on for a reason

Just keeping this here as a First they don't record you through the webcam and microphone. But they do have keyloggers. To get around all this just take the battery out plug it into the charger and go in dev mode. BTW they have all this stuff on for a reason

Should be able to wipe it by going into dev mode like SamStrecker said. It's probably by holding Esc+refresh+power button and then crtl+d or alt+d can't remember when it says chrome os is missing or damaged. Once you get into dev mode you can esc+refresh+power again to turn os verification back on and it should be wiped.

First they don't record you through the webcam and microphone. But they do have keyloggers. To get around all this just take the battery out plug it into the charger and go in dev mode. BTW they have all this stuff on for a reason 

They DO record us, they showed us in a meeting.

on my chromebook you can´t extract the battery.

I know they do it for a reason, but they made us pay a fortune for a device barely usefull and they spy us.

I just want to get the most out of my chromebook.

It´s a lenovo N21 chromebook.

I don´t have a personal device, also, they gave us the chromebooks not even a month ago, and made us pay a fortune, I just want to use its potential.

And the don´t allow us any devices other than the school chromebooks.
