i5-6600k beQuiet Pure Rock Overclock

So what would be a reasonable OC for this? The cooler's 150W TDP. I don't want to be pushing up against the boundary of stability just something sensible.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

as high as your sample can go without going past 80c using synthetic benchmarks. nobody can tell, silicon lottery is a thing now more than ever.

Well, I have that cooler and an i5 4690K.

This chip can't get too hot for that cooler even at 4.7GHz.

So don't worry =)

[never touch a running system]

i your pc is primary for gaming (what i assume with a skylake i5) i recommend no synthetic benchmark like prime/aida/occt. use realbench. its great and uses real world applications as benchmark, synthetic benchmarks are only usefull for workstations that run 24/7 and are rendering all night where you cant just have a crash. but for gaming any other benchmark will do great, if you can pass realbench for at least 2hours id say its more than fine for gaming. and it goes pretty hard on your cpu/temps too.
