 if they are off different fuses will it still work

You mean different fuses on the breaker box? 

 

If that's what you mean, then yes, they can be. As long as they're on the same circuit, meaning that the two outlets are physically connected by wires in some way. 

 

If they are on separate breakers, but the same circuit, then it may not work. Powerline can be a bit picky sometimes, depending on how the wiring is set up. I would advise keeping the receipt for the powerline adapters just in case they don't work.

yes-i think, i ran powerlines and they do the job but if things that suck lots of power are switched on such as a washingmachine. or on a night all your lights are on. your speeds will drop significantly. i had them until i ran ethernet cables under my floorboard, to the router downstairs to my 48port switch upstairs which gives ethernet to a few rooms in the house
