Computer slow after changing cases. Icons don't load and skype crashes on startup

So last night I moved all the guts of my computer into a new case, and installed, I second HDD, some fans and LED strips. I booted up my PC and it was moving slow, icons on my desktop weren't loading properly, skype was crashing and when I opened the file browser my second hard drive was reading as a BD-Drive . I thought the hard drive might be the problem so I powered down and unplugged it. Booted back up and I had the same issues. I reinstalled Windows 10 over night and that didnt work either, I'm stilling having the same issues.

My PC Specs are:
CPU Intel i5-4690
GPU-NVIDIA GTX 750 ti
PSU-Corsair CX 430 M
HDD-Seagate Barracuda 1 tb and Seagate Barracuda 3 tb (currently not plugged in)
Motherboard-Asrock b85 Anniversary.

Sounds like a dying HDD to me. There are methods of checking its health and I suggest you try one.

I have a feeling that bad grounding would be affecting other components as well or first. HDD's don't typically react to grounding issues as they are powered directly by the PSU and have no motherboard influence for power like RAM or a GPU would, in my experience.

 

He should run a S.M.A.R.T. diagnostic to test the health of his HDDs.
