Im planning on doing an office build for a relative who runs a business but they always say to me that custom built pcs are so much bigger. To be fair the only custom built pcs they have seen was my 350d build which is certainly not a small case. So basicallu is there a case i dont know of thats really small and doesnt add like 25cm just for a gpu. A case like the node 202 but the node 202 is so much wider then it has to be just to add a gpu. So is there any case that doesnt expect you to put a discrete gpu and is literally just the size of a mini itx board and a psu.

You can make a case like that.

Moved to Cases and Power Supplies--please do not just dump threads into General Discussion.

2. They are huge for no reason

They're bigger but not for no reason. They fit larger components like a full sized graphics card.

What are the systems being used for and what are you planning to put inside of them?

As i said before no discrete gpu is needed. All i need in it is a motherboard and a sfx or atx power supply and a ssd. I can ghetto rig a hdd if i need one.

In-Win have a few tiny itx cases like the BQ656S.  Most of those have included power supplies of non-standard SFX form factors.  Don't know how good the PSUs are but the cases themselves look fairly decent, even if they don't have nice blacked out interiors.

They're far less premium than say the Node 202, but you could always just turn that GPU area into a storage bay and ghetto mount a whole bunch of drives in there if you so desired.

Edit: or as said in the post below, grab a NUC equipped with an i7
