Hey folks.

 

Noticed abit of coil whine coming from my PSU yesterday.

It this something I should be worried about? The PSU is literally a day old.

CPU - i7 8700K / Motherboard - ROG Strix Z370 E/ RAM - 32GB Cosair Vengeance DDR / GPU  - GTX 1080ti - EVGA FTW3 / PSU - Seasonic Snow Silent 750W / Cooling - Cryorig H7 Monitor - Acer X34 Predator / Sound - Corsair Void - Case - Meshify C

RMA if you dont like the coil whine, same with GPU's (i remember lays saying something like he had like 20 gpu's and could count the ones without whine on 1hand )

the noise shouldnt affect anything so its still working great

Noise doesn't really bother me to be honest. Only noticed it because I took my headset off.

It's normal. Don't worry. Don't worry if it goes away or changes tone over time either. That's normal too. Unless the unit was actually marketed as noiseless or 0dB or something along those lines, you'd have hard time passing it for RMA too.
