LOL!

OP, brother has a point. Unless you're playing mostly Gameworks games the 390 is a better choice. The MSI being the pick of the 390 litter in my opinion.

I was honestly joking. I figured if he's already come to the point of picking a 970 model that he's already done his research and made his decision. I don't know much about the 970 models except that I trust MSI and EVGA so that is all I could chime in.

Obviously is a good 970. Its one  of the most powerful 970 out there but not the most powerful. In my opinion i will recommend the  Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming GDDR5 Pcie Video Graphics Card, 4GB. Its has price  better than the Zotac , and it as fast as a  stock 980.

At that price there isn't a big difference performance wise. The ZOTAC is a great overclocker but the EVGA FTW+ has comparable power delivery so will overclock nicely depending on the ASIC percentage. Big factor is having EVGA support, and precision X16 is bad ass as far as overclocking software goes.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

but is the performance really that much better than the 970? I never had an AMD graphics card so.

It's "OK", build quality is on the cheap side, the VRMs get hot and limit overclocking potential, no LED logo is you're into that, but it's got a great cooler and stays quiet.

Yes it is, and you get an extra 4GB(or 4.5GB full speed) extra vram.

It's good but it's not even close to being worth it, as the powercolor is 60$ cheaper and it's almost just as good, it's a little loud

My next choice would be the XFX model if you don't like MSI's red. If Morgan MlGman is right about that price though, go with that.
