Hey guys,I am planning to get a desktop since i only have laptop.

So i wonder if anyone could make me a good build based on GTX 970

My budget can not exceed 1200$ And this is without monitor, keyboard or mouse

I need this desktop for gaming(GTA V,new Battlefront,Fallout 4) and stuff like that.
I also need it for some light editing(that's why i am getting 16gigs of ram ) and maybe streaming

Thank you anyway,yours

Kole :)

why do you want to go with the 970? for the same price you could get a 390

Possible the editing programs he uses take advantage of cuda.

You can try bringing it back under by switching the HyperX for a BX200. They're about $20 cheaper.

because some people have preferences over getting slightly better performance per dollar.

I wouldn`t care all that much, mainly because AMD stepped their drivers game up, I don`t see many more big reasons why no to

to game or not to game, that`s the question

I actually made that while talking to somebody in the YouTube comments, they said I couldn't make a build with an "i7" and a 980ti for $1200. I made a rough build, then he helped me make it the one I first listed.

Now, with the BX200, it's even closer to $1200. If it didn't have an SSD it would be, but I find them necessary for high-end builds.

and yeah i was thinking about cuda, but as i said i am not really going to do anything that seroius and 980 is really just a better card

Actually, the 980 is beat by the Fury. I think you mean the 980ti, which the direct compition would be the FuryX, which is doing better(The fury x is), but still no quite beating it.

BX200 is also a good type of ram,i'll think about since i am getting this PC in March/april

The BX200 is an ssd?

Will it run minecraft? xD

well, slightly funny sidenote, lower clock speed (while staying on the same architecture) directly relates to FPS in minecraft on some "more resource intensive" modpacks, and the xeon's slightly lower clock also means notably lower performance.

thats said, if your minecraft is at that point you should look into alternatives to offload part of the cpu work.

i also have a tv that needs to get a 59.7Hz input signal, which i just cant seem to do with amd drivers...

hmmm, there are still more reasons, but hell, you can`t get everything and when you talk about stuff like that, AMD also has advantages over Nvidea, not only price/performance

to game or not to game, that`s the question

the biggest advantage aside from bang for buck i'd see on the amd side is that free-sync panels dont cost an arm and a leg.

EDIT: i need sleep, i truly do..

than get some sleep mate, it`s easy to come by :P

But I still think AMD would be a better choice, regardless of your arguments, i also have a 970 and would gladly trade it with a 390

to game or not to game, that`s the question
