Updated First PC Gaming Rig.

JEW UNIT NY

Hey everybody! Hope everything is well. Las week I posted up my first gaming rig I'm going to be ordering at the end of the month and I needed to update it (had to take away some funds from the last rig) and have a new one.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do improve my rig?

You have a very expensive monitor and speaker set, I would reconsider those.

Also, you do not need a $70 Wifi-adapter

Blu-ray is rarely needed, and an external will be more useful in the long run

UPS... I do not know enough to tell you about that

Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

Solitaire.

I would also suggest scaling down the SSD to 240/256gb and adding a 1-4tb spinning disc for cheap. 4tb WD red is like $150 which would be overkill.

Seems like you cheaped out a bit on the power supply. Based on the quality of your build I would recommend a Gold + rated EVGA G2 or something like that.

I don't think you spent too much a monitor and speakers (your computer can be the best in the world and it won't matter if the visual / audio experience is lousy), however, make sure you read reviews on the speakers to make sure they're good ones and worth the money.

As for the monitor, that is more of a competitive gaming monitor. Super high fps and response rate. If you're into competitive gaming it's a good choice. Me personnally, I'd rather use the same amount of money but put it into a monitor that is a bit larger (27"+) and with an IPS panel. Makes for a much more appealing visual experience.

Thanx. I just added a new power supply. Just a couple of dollars more. I want to get the best performance possible. I am not really into competitive person. What monitor do you recommend?

Thanx for the advice. I already have a 4tb HDD that I purchased a year ago. I will be using that.

Something more like this:

There might be better options, I didn't look around that much, but something ips 27" 1080p with 5 ms refresh would give a much better visual experience.
