How many runs is considered too many for a drive? Does running a bench repeatedly wear it out or does it not matter at all?

I always thought it doesn't matter at all and you can run it as many times as you want as it only tests the speeds and doesn't torture the drive, but I might be wrong, I assumed it in advance and didn't research any further

That's what I believe as well but I wanted some feedback.

I think it actually creates a bit of fragmentation as my C: drive went from 7% to 8%. Is that worth a defrag? I usually wait till 20% or so

But how many times did you run it/want to run it? I mean I wouldn't worry about it until you see any performance decrease etc

Well, I've ran it about 10 times over the last month to just to make sure nothing is up. I had some BSOD issues and reinstalled OS. Been fine for a month now and speeds are nominal with 100-110 Seq reads and 95 Seq Writes on a 5400RPM SSHD

To be honest I think it's all perfectly fine and you've got nothing to worry about related to your hard drive :P

I guess :D. I'm just a very paranoid person, I scare easily and I tend to obsess. I should do that with my exams but oh well, who needs that xD

Yeah... About exams... Blade & Soul released today, and I can't stop playing it, was searching for a good MMORPG for quite some time now and I'm obsessed with how awesome it is (at least for me) the mechanics, movement, jumps and spells are awesome, not to mention good graphics and good performance (that's an issue with many MMORPGs) that's all I was looking for, still waiting for Black Desert Online that's yet to come

If you like that I think I know one you might like more (at least I do) - C9: Continent of the Ninth Seal. That's the MMO that I lasted longest in (about 2 weeks) and got to lvl 40. Most MMOs can't make me get to lvl 10 before I get bored

I'll try it if I get bored of Blade & Soul or it somehow disappoints despite great first day impression, I've played many, many MMORPGs and only one truly got me (Cabal Online).

From the few hours of gameplay I absolutely love it so far, despite me having an FX CPU (which usually tends to be worse in poorly-optimized MMOs) and a Radeon GPU while the game includes a bit Nvidia stuff like PhysX libraries, still capable of managing 60 to 120FPS and running butter-smooth, even if the FPS sometimes drop to 50 it's not even noticeable

TERA Online for instance despite being older and having worse graphics made me drop to like 10 FPS at times, shitty game devs don't give a damn about it :P
