Hello guys, I have my new PC all nice and built inside an Raijintek Metis, you can see some photos and the parts on PCparpicker: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/RxzMnQ, but I'm having a problem, temps.

In my current setup I get while running Furmark and Aida's CPU stress test 69 C on CPU and 80-83 C on GPU. (While stressing only the CPU it doesn't go over 63 C)

I'm pretty sure that going with a PH-TC12LS and a back fan as intake will considerably lower my temperatures as I can feel the air not moving in the case, has no fans to move it, of course it doesn't.

Now I want to keep the sound low, what would you guys recommend as a decent air mover that looks ok (black would be nice) and maybe has PWM (the Asus MB handles DC also but PWM might be better for higher flexibility) Also I'd like not to spend 30 dollars on a fan.

Hope you guys can give me some good advice.

Thanks

Edit: The fan has to be 120 mm!

The nice cables do a good job blocking air flow.

The cpu cooler is doing a reasonably good job, no need to replace it.

Not sure the rear fan should be intake but adding one is a good idea. I would suggest trying it as an exhaust. This should help draw air in from the side grill and help exhaust air from the gpu. I believe the case came with a 120mm fan, try using it as exhaust to see if things change.

If you still have the half-height Cryorg fan and want more cooling, you might consider using it with a 120mm adapter in place of the stock fan, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811995076&cm_re=140mm_to_120mm_adapter-_-11-995-076-_-Product.

What air flow? I really don't think the PSU struggles to breathe because a flew cables somewhere in front of it.

My problem is that nothing is pushing fresh air in.

Cables in general aren't that big of an issue:

140 mm on the back is impossible, as you can see in the pics, the space between the 120mm mounting hole and the I/O shield is very limited.

So any opinions on a fan?

If the rear fan is pushing air out, air will be drawn in the side vent as well as the back vent above the gpu. If you use the rear as intake, it is going to interrupt the airflow coming off of the gpu rad and will likely raise gpu temps rather than lower them.

The adapter plate I linked is designed to mount on a 120mm fan location. But I did look at the pictures again and it does appear that the cpu cooler would interfere with any fan mounted on the rear, including a 120mm model. Is that so, or is there ~25mm space for a full width fan?

Did the case not come with a 25mm wide 120mm fan?

If you are going to replace the cpu cooler, you might consider a Hyper 212 EVO. A better option, IMO would be a Noctua NH-U12S. If you do not want a cooling tower, you could consider an AIO mounted on the rear as exhaust. You will have to check dimensions, but an H80i GT may fit.
