What kind of editing? Programs he's using?

Fyi, you need to quote a post or else the person won;t get a notification you replied to them.

Everything except an ssd which he already has loaded with windows 7

He's gonna need about 6TB storage but he can buy more if he needs too

did you have any case in mind, or would any black case do? would you like a side panel?

Was looking at the corsair c70 or the 650D

He's getting someone else to build it.

Side panel would be good

Also LED's

http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/1zPy3

scratch that, the mobo is H series, I suck

http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/1zPCk

if you want LEDs etc. maybe get rid of the 780 and go for a 770 or 7970

I'm in a Skype call with the man himself at the moment.

Showed him this:http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/1zPGH

And he's almost decided.

Thoughts?

why 2133 ram?

besides didn't you say he needs 6 TB hdd space?

show him my build as well as Shadow Raven's and let him decide between the 3.

http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/1zPKz

if it has to be an i7

if he doesn't care what color the stuff is I can do it a lot cheaper, but I tried to stay within black and red

PS: He's already got a 500GB SSD with the full adobe photoshop suite and windows 7 professional

Should change the ram to Vengeance Pro RAM in red to match the MOBO

Other than that looking good!

Needlessly expensive.

2133 ram is pointless.

No point in the Maximus and the H100i has bad stock fans.

A 780 with a stock cooler is just not that good of an idea.

Psu is overkill. An ax760i is already enough for 2 watercooled 780's although I don't recommend burning money on the ax series.

I agree with the motherboard being pointlessly expensive and the PSU being overkill, I also don't think the 780 he chose is a good idea, but the H100i might have bad stock fans but it's still awesome, although I personally would go for the H80i because I just like it :D

Edit: and yeah obviously 2133 ram is pointless, you can't feel the difference going over 1600 MHz

The h100i is good but not really awesome imo. It looks good though. The fans can be loud and it's meh until you replace the fans.

I'd just say get a kraken x60 instead and not have to replace the fans.

but the kraken x60 isn't listed on pc part picker and I'm too lazy to find other links, the H100i will suffice lol

Well damn I just saw this ..

He bought the vengeance pro in red and he bought 2 3TB , changed the 780 to an MSI 780 gaming edition,

16gb because he's doing editing and also some corair SP fans quiet edition ..

Totaling 2924.

Final product : http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/1zQbf

He spent the extra money because he works from this machine.
