Communication Advancements HW

Hello so recently I got assigned to do a presentation (orally) as part of our finals for AP Spanish. The question was, "What are peoples's attitudes in regards to technological advancements in communication? "

SO I need to compare my community, or the US to a Latin American Country. Here is what I came up with

-The US's attitude to technological advancements is to excited and persistent to improving their electronics like making phones each year to improve our means of communication

- in my community, communication is necessary to carry out daily things

 - in our community, the phone and internet has become an essential device to help us "survive"

-lots of people use skype, facetime or video chat

- we believe it brings us closer to one another

Any one from a Latin American country that can describe their countries'  communication advancements, and how they react towards it?

I thought this topic was going to be about asking about details into the technical aspects in communication systems themselves like OFDM, Massive MIMO, WIFI, or the hardware aspects of it. I associated HW with hardware.
