Advanved System Care 9 Question

Go to solution Solved by LogicalDrm,

What do you guys think of Smart Defrag? What about their uninstaller? Thoughts on Avast free antivirus and Malwarebytes antimalware?

I switched to Smart Defrag from Defraggler because pure speed. And since current version does nice optimization on SSD too, I'm very happy with it. I have had issue(s) with uninstaller. I would just stick with Windows own unless you have very naughty software and want to get rid of everything related. It can cause issues if you delete some registery files.

As for AV, I switched to BitDefender from Avast. Much lighter and not so many annoying popups.

I use Advanced system care, i like the cpu and ram percent monitor, superfetch doesnt matter at all in ssd's only in HDD so ignore it

Task manager does that for you and it's built right into your OS.

I actually find some of the features useful, but I would  rather be able to just install the features, and not the whole program. Most of it is pretty useless.

Piriform has everything you need and their stuff actually works. CCleaner being their most popular tool has everything you need - not only can you free up disk space, but you can force uninstall programs with it, and more.

I would just ignore those and maybe disable that check if it keeps bothering you. Indexing features aren't that bad for HDD life anymore. Trim is default enabled on new SSDs and Windows installs. I have disabled auto-defrag anyway because I don't trust Windows built-in one since Vista.

Defraggler is slow as hell compared to Smart Defrag.

I've heard good things from Bitdefender. Is it free? What are your thoughts on MBAM?

Yes, BitDefender has free edition of AV. The other thing I haven't heard of.
