Hi all,

 

So my girlfriends little brother has an xbox however has a few pc games he likes so im trying to throw together a PC for him.

 

He plays Minecraft, War Z (infestation survivor stories) and Day Z. He has Bf3 and all the bigger titles on his console so that won't be an issue i hope:P

 

Heres what i have managed to throw together:

 

Core2Quad Q9650 @ 3Ghz

4GB Corsair DDR2 RAM (i will try find more to make it 8)

Some nice high end motherboard from back in the day

AMD HD7770 1GB (got it so damn cheap)

 

I will find a cheap case and psu too at some point.

 

Reckon it will hold up for a while?

Looks good, and probably not maybe 3 years at 720P

It's not bad. If you spend some time on that Core2Quad and get it at a decent clock it will be fairly respectable.

no but i can get the board cpu and ram for the price of like an fx 4350 almost maybe $50 more so i doubt ill find better

it will all be second hand stuff. Maybe 220 usd for cpu,ram and mobo
