Hello

I have a nzxt case with

  • 1x 220mm in back
  • 2x 240mm top
  • 2x 240mm front

and im wondering what fans i needed. Im not sure about radiators and if i needed one. i currently use the stock Intel CPU cooler that came with my I7. My questions are What fan sizes shall i get? how many? what one airflow/static pressure? do i need a radiator? what one? and i believe it matters what way i put the fans to create a air flow through out the case. Any anything else related to this topic

thanks for your help

Since the mod who moved the thread didn't move my post as well, one more time.

Budget? Air, or water cooling? Preferred retailers?

Corrected numbers: 2x140 front (Also accepts 2x120mm), 1x140mm top (Also accepts 1x120mm), 120mm rear.

Are you not satisfied with the stock cooling?

I would get one extra 140mm fan and put that as front intake. Then more top fan as intake too. As for CPU cooler, do you have K or non-K i7? If you have bit extra money, I suggest getting small aftermarket cooler like $30 ones (212, Pure Rock and H7). For i7 stock can be bit too little.

I don't want a custom loop. Not sure about weather water or air. Mid range budget

I want to overlock but worried it will over heat

The stock case fans are usually fine. If you're going to oc, figure out what cooler to get for the cpu first. What's your budget and what cpu are you oc'ing?

I7 4Ghz (1540k I think not 100% on the model number)

Max 100£

Wow, talk about being off the mark.    I'm pretty sure you're referring to the 4790k.

Depending on your motherboard and ram, a NH-D15 or NH-D15S can fit with the fans lowered entirely down the fins.

Do I not recommend water cooling then?

Air cooling performs similarly at a lower price while being quieter.

A louder but a bit better performing cooler from the NH-D15 would be a Kraken x61: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/nzxt-cpu-cooler-rlkrx6101

Ugh, no. "More " is typo. I meant move. So you'd have two intake fans in front and single rear exhaust.
