Honestly i'd go with either the G2 is probably slightly better but I like the look of the RMx way more.

Well, the RMX has the zero RPM feature but the EVGA has 10 year warranty vs. 7 years. I think the 550W should be suffcient depending if you are planning to have a lot drives, fans, adding anothe GPU, adding watercooling.

I'd get 650w for some headroom once you get the 970

550w should be sufficient, though 650w for headroom might be a safer bet.

Really, it comes down to what's more important to you: some of the features of the RMx, or the double digit warranty of the G2.

They're both really really good power supplies (probably the best in that price range). Really, it's down to you.

Then I'd probably go with the 550W, though I'm tempted to say the 650W one because it's not that much more expensive, but I'm very careful so that would just be my own peace of mind I guess

Ok what features does the RMX have?

RMX has the zero fan feature, where the fan doesn't kick in until a set load.

Ok also i just noticed that the EVGA 550 and 650W have 7 years warranty. Idk if that's just for Sweden but yeah.

Here is the feature page for the RMx.

Conversely, here is the feature page for the G2.

As it appears, the G2 doesn't have a 10 Year Warranty for that model, only 7 years......huh.

Sounds familiar.

I build my rig with an Intel Core i5-4690 a Zotac GTX 970 and a 500W 80+ Gold PSU by be quiet! (Straight Power 10)

It is available either with CM or non CM.

But if you are not going to overclock, it is not necessary to get an i5-4690K.

But thats up to you and your plans for the future with your rig. The mentioned PSU did cost back in 2014 about 115 european currency. Dunno atm how many USD/C$/AUD/SEK it is.

EDIT: Well, I guess you wanted to have infos on whether you should take EVGA or Corsair....sry.

Hi do you know if it is a performance difference between 4690k and 4690? Because i can get them for the same price.

Main: Gigabyte G1 980Ti, i5 6600k, MSI Z170A M5, 16GB DDR4 2666, NZXT H440, NZXT x61, EVGA 750W G2, Windows 10

They should be the same out of the box; however, "k" version has an unlocked multiplier giving it a better performance potential as you can overclock it. If they are the same price, get the K version.

To be honest I´m not sure, but I think I remember that, the only difference between them was the unlocked multiplier the "K" stands for. Refering to the data sheet (http://ark.intel.com/compare/80811,80810), there are some minor improvements, but others might help you more. My post should have been more an info about another PSU brand, I used in a similar rig.

Thanks for the link. I'm probably gonna go with the 4690k since it's only 5 bucks more expensive. And who knows, maybe i will get a decent cooler in the future.
