after all the misleading reviews, I believed that subnautica was a decently optimized game however this is obviously wrong because no matter what settings I choose the game runs like complete crap on my gtx970. It is extremely stuttery and laggy and I have been trying to fix it all day today. The console also doesnt save my settings when I restart the game, the textures on the water surface look like a pixel blanket, the early developer watermark cant be disabled and has size 1000 font. These are just the beginnings of the problems that I am experiencing yet it seems that nobody else who purchased this game has these problems seeing as the game has a 95% positive rate. Can somebody please help me because this is the last straw for me in terms of buying new games because games nowadays are riddled with game breaking flaws.

It may sound like a silly question, are you overclocked? If so, try removing your overclock back to stock and insure you have a clean install of the newest drivers.

I had similar problems and my overclock was messing my gpu up. And not on all games, just some.

It's worth trying and takes no time.

well you may have just bit the bullet and take the hit.

but take heart, it being early access it may improve

:EDIT  it's kinda harsh having a go for a game being full of bugs when it's still in development, tho this whole early access trend is not good for gaming but it has help some games becomes games rather then just idea's
