Dell U3415W flickering

So, been getting flickering issues with my year old Dell U3415W and I'm at a loss wondering what's wrong with my system. This all started around Christmas. I've done everything from trying different cables (mDP and DP), running the monitor with the DP 1.1 setting, trying different display port connections from my GPU ( Asus Strix GTX 980 Ti), trying different drivers. My old TN panel HP monitor and my TV (55" Samsung) work just fine without any issues. And the issue is really weird. It sort of comes and goes. One time there was a "ghost image" that stayed even after I rebooted my PC. 

 

So I finally called Dell and explained the situation and they sent me another unit. And after a few hours of testing I can confirm that the flickering issue still persists. So I'm pretty f****d now. :(

 

Any ideas?
