Hello i need help my Dell keyboard which i have enjoyed since day one ( yes its old and cheap but its been a warrior ) is now dying as the usb got pinched and is now acting up... so time to replace now i want a LED backlit keyboard NON-MECHANICAL atm  just so i dont wake up my gf on my late night school work / typing. so would like suggestions if possible! thanks and if its a blue led its even better

Just get the cheapest mechanical keyboard with the normal layout without any special keys or features that you would not use.

Those usually come at $65USD, but then again with sales you can get them at even cheaper.

Or you could get Khail keys which are significantly cheaper but loses to the MX keys at key press timings.

 

However I feel that Khail keys are better at typing for long periods of time.

I've been using some random eagletec keyboard from amazon and its been holding up well. But the cm storm octane/storm combo is a good idea.

Cougar 200K with scissor key switches, Bloody B120 or Genius KB-G265.
