GPU Upgrade recommendation

ANUPLUCIFERGAMER

Hey Guys! So recently I bought a pre-built PC. About 3 odd months ago. The GPU is the worst of it. So I wanna upgrade it.

Here are the specs. What would be the best GPU available for it?

Price is not an issue.

post-29727-0-55651800-1452865512.jpg

I should be able to play games at mid settings, 45-60 fps is enough.

I'll also be upgrading the ram to 8 GB :)

Thanks! :)

Will a full size GPU fit in your case? If so the sky is the limit, and you said price is not an issue so the GTX 980ti is the best answer.

Have you got the Inspiron 3647?

Yes. Unfortunately.

Nope. That's not the one!

Keeping the size aside, if I get the 980ti, won't it be a bottleneck?

Of course it won't perform as well as it would if it were matched up with all top of the line hardware, but it would still offer the best performance.  Your current hardware really isn't that bad that it would be tremendously held back.  In my honest opinion, I would just get a 970 though.

You would probably need an i5 for it not to bottleneck, i'd say buy a brand new pc, sell this one/give it to your parents

Sorry, I thought you listed an i5.  I wouldn't pair anything 970 or above with an i3, just not a good match.

Well I can't do that. That's why I asked what would be the best GPU. If a 650ti works without bottlenecks, I'd be more then happy to get it :)

Even the 500 or 200 series would be good? :P

750Ti, it doesn't need additional power supply... prebuilt Dell with i3-4370 most likely won't supply a PSU with one... you haven't confirmed what case/model you have yet.  :P

second guess 3847, hopefully you'd have adequate power supply for a GPU upgrade.

a 980ti is going to be at definitely bottleneck that CPU. Something like a solid 1080p card would suit you IMO.

GTX 950/960 or AMD 380

Is this the one? http://www.dell.com/ca/p/inspiron-3647-small-desktop/pd?oc=di670s_bt_h313e

If so, you've got only an integrated 220w PSU (which I wouldn't even run a 750Ti on) in a micro chassis that only has room for a single slot, half-height GPU, which means you're limited to something like a GT730 at most.

You need a bigger chassis and PSU upgrade to run anything like a 750Ti or more.
