HDD not recognized in OS

Go to solution Solved by MD54,

Hello. I recently finished my first PC build and all works great except for the hard drive.

It is a Western Digital Blue (not caviar blue) WD10EZEX 7200 RPM hard drive.

The hard drive is recognized in the BIOS, But when I open the file explorer and look at "Computer" All it shows is the SSD.

I do not have the drivers updated, because I looked throughout the WD website and couldn't find anything.

I've also heard that it does not need drivers, But I don't know what else it could be.

When I first booted it up it didn't show anything but a little blip of a loading screen when first starting up windows.

I built the whole PC before the HDD arrived so the OS is on the SSD.

My motherboard is an MSI Z97s SLI Krait edition, and I'm using windows 7 as an OS.

This video should help.

Go into disk management utility. Once in there your drive should show up, and right click on it and it should let you create a volume.
