External DAC/Amp needed?

Go to solution Solved by AV3Nguyen,

I've taken the consensus to be: don't do buy.
Thanks everyone!

I'm back! So I just purchased a pair of ath-m50x's and I'm wondering if my onboard soundcard (ALC1150 on ASRock z97 extreme4) is high enough quality to get the most out of my purchase. I still have a leftover budget of up to 75 dollars. Any recommendations for an external DAC/Amp within my budget or is my onboard soundcard perfectly fine/I would need to spend more than my budget to actually improve them?

You won't see an improvement with really any DAC on those things.

Intel Core i7-6700K | Corsair H105 | Asus Z170I PRO GAMING | G.Skill TridentZ Series 16GB | 950 PRO 512GB M.2

Asus GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB STRIX OC | BitFenix Prodigy (Black/Red) | XFX PRO Black Edition 850W

My BuildPCPartPicker | CoC

You won't get any improvement with buying a soundcard/dac under $300

(Reason for buying one would be to get higher volume and also to eliminate interference)

A DAC/AMP combo would be the best option for this, I'd suggest the FiiO E10K.

Might add this later...
