Hello everyone,

I got some kind of weird thing going on with my Windows.

First I noticed that my hdd was really slow. A high response time (sometimes up to 50000ms) and a low read and write speed.

I did some searching around on the internet and found that it could be because there was something wrong with my ram.

So I decided to open up my laptop, takeout my hdd and put it in another pc. First it wouldn't boot from my hdd. So I put the original ssd back in and connected my hdd as a secondary drive.

Booting was no problem anymore. In the other pc I wan't really able to compare it because Windows wasn't running on my hdd anymore it was running on the ssd.

After I put it back in my laptop things really started to go wrong. I couldn't open some folders and my taskbar is half broken. Start menu, battery menu, ethernet menu etc. would not open.

I taught that not being able to open my folders was a permissions problem. So I tried giving myself ownership of the C drive would fix this. Sadly no. For some files Windows would give an error

(Sorry it's not in English)

Something like this but a little different. ;)

But for the problem with the start menu etc. I didn't know how to fix this.  :(

After searching some more, I found a post on a forum saying you could use Windows Powershell to check for corrupt files and automatically repair them. But then I got the next error.

I ran a HDTune test but it turned out ok.

And now I'm kinda out of ideas...

I have had this problem before, fixed it by reinstalling Windows (clean install) after this it was not as bad as it was before but still response times were high (1000ms - 20000ms) read and write speeds were still a bit low but better. Unfortunately this only lasted for about 3 months.

So I was hoping someone could help me out and perhaps even give me a solution to the problem.

Sorry if my English is not perfect I'm from the Netherlands :)

Greetings Dennis
