Binding Mouse button to push to talk

Hey everyone so I have a G402 mouse and I have some DPI shifter buttons on the side of my mouse. I unbinded them and the tried to bind one of the buttons to push to talk in CSGO but it didn't recognize the button. How do I bind the button?

They have to be bound to a button in order to be recognized by programs. Set it to something like \ or ] or [ anything that isn't used and wont get in your way.

you can set the button to be something like | or f12 a key you dont really press in the software, then in game set the chat button to f12. easy

It should work just fine and show up as mouse 5 or whatever. Try another mouse button.

all of the side buttons aren't recognized

Only the forward (mouse4) and back (mouse5) are part of the normal operating system. To use any other extra buttons, you need to use the mouse software to bind the key to an unused keyboard key, then you can bind it in game.
