so this has not been a great past few weeks.

anyway im now on my back up pc.

havent used it in a few days and i come back to find it almost un-usable due to unknown cpu usage.

at idle with nothing really running aside from random processes my cpu sits at anywhere from 60-94% cpu usage. mathamaticly using task manager the cpu usage percents dont add up but whatever windows.

anyway something called svchost.exe Service Host: Local System (Network Restricted) is using consistantly 25-30% of the cpu usage.

i have already run ccleaner, malwarebytes and rkill and have not found anything.

im really pissed off tonight because of other computer issues and i really want to decapitate people in chivalry.

any help would be much appreciated.

It might be Windows Defender running an automatic scan of some files. That's my guess.

windows deffender is disabled. it persists through restarts.

I fixed my problem another way, apparently somehow a rootkit was causing the problem? It started out as a problem with all regular google sites, ads and services not being able to be displayed on my browser. I searched the web for answers and found that someone else had the exact same problem and used a combination of Rkill and TDSKill executable programs to stop malware processes and remove rootkits.I never thought of this before because i had no idea what a rootkit was. After rebooting google worked fine and i found that the particular service host.exe file that had been causing me so much trouble was gone and not running, also my computer runs smoother than ever!
