I'm thinking of buying a HP 27xw monitor for my newly built computer. The monitor I'm looking at has a 14sm input lag. I game (Fallout 4, Anno 2205, men of war assault squad, Star Wars Battlefront EA, World of Tanks, and Warthunder) but I'm not very competitive, would that cause much of an issue.

My Current 23" ASUS monitor has a 5 ms input lag but the colors are crap.

 

The other alternative is to by the HP 25xw that has a 7 ms response time. I prefer the bigger screen.

It's a difference of 10ms. Although that's not a good lag for a monitor you could easily play just fine with it.

Dell was for $300. I got the Hp for $125.99 due to buying it on sale at NFM. Or else normal price, it is $299.99.
