After move, computer shuts off randomly when under load

I moved states and consequently my computer over the weekend, and after getting to my new place and booting it up, the thing will shut off/lose power without warning when under full load.  Particularly when playing Rainbow Six Siege.  Everything will play fine for a few games, then randomly in a game shut off or restart without warning.  This does not happen in less intensive games like CS:GO.

Temperatures are normal.  My first thought is it's the power supply but I don't know why a move like this would randomly cause it to go bad.  I did not drop the computer or do anything physically other than move it.

Is it possible this is something other than the power supply?  (Corsair HX850)  I use PSU extensions, so that might be an issue?

This is Windows 10

check your heatsink/waterblock, make sure it hasn't become dislodged. Intel heatsinks tend to do this most, but who knows could have happened witht he h60. Temp changes that are too fast sometimes don't register.

Also, check that the h60 is working properly

Have you checked the cables and such inside the PC?  The 24-pin connector partially slipped out of my PC, which gave me a heart attack when I couldn't boot up until I reseated it.

Well the computer boots fine.  It just shuts off under load.

Well yes, but it never hurts to check, you know.  I just put that last bit in as an anecdote, loose cables may or may not contribute to the problem.

Is it possible it is something like memory or motherboard?  Or would that throw a BSOD?

it's possible, for the motherboard at least, but likely it's power related. Best thing to do is try another psu
