Windows failed to start

Go to solution Solved by GIR385,

all motherboards have a reset bios jumper or switch..and for the ones that don't you can remove the battery for 15 mins

Thanks for all your help. I wound up just disconnecting my SSD and HDD, and after that I ran my computer and the USB ports were back up. I then reconnected them, and now everything is back. Thanks for your help, and please keep track of this chain, as if this happens again Ima want to find a more permanent solution. Here's hoping it doesn't come to that. Thanks again!

So I built my first computer yesterday, and everything was working fine except for my front USB 3.0 port and the windows update which would look for updates and almost never find any (Then a few minutes later I would be told to restart to install updates). I played some minecraft and ran skype today, left for about an hour, and came back to find an update waiting for me. I restarted to install it, but then I got an error message telling me that windows failed and that I need to reinstall it. This wouldn't be a problem, if my USB ports would work. But now not any of them work. Not the back ones, front ones, any of them. The computer still boots just fine, but it sends me to that error page and I can't install windows because I can't use my USB, and I can't enter the BIOS because my keyboard is USB, and as I said, none of my USB ports work. What can I do?

reset the bios first

I find it hard to believe as well, but how do I reset my BIOS without a keyboard and mouse?

Will I still have all my stuff (On my SSd and HDD?) And also, could it have been an SSD faliure? I have Windows installed on a used (I bought it used) Intel 320 series 160GB SSD, and I heard there were errors and problems with these.

Ok, so it happend again. I fixed it the same way, but this obviously can't keep happening. It seems to happen when I try to update. But it doesn't happen every time. Only sometimes. How can i fix this?
