Hey guys, so I'm getting a few new parts in March for my new build and money might be tighter than I expected, so I've nixed the R9 Fury X and 2k 144Hz monitor for something I think will be more practical and less than 1,000 USD.

So my question for you guys is how much better is it running 2560 by 1080 as opposed to regular 1080p? I've never gamed at anything but 1920x1080 60Hz so I'm wondering if it'll make much difference. I play mostly MMO's, FPS, and sandbox-style survival games like ARK. Also some Elite Dangerous.

I thought frames per sec would be what I mostly wanted but now I'm not so sure. Sell me on it or talk me down.

I have a 2560x1080p monitor and let me tell you, having this instead of normal 1080p is REALLY worth it, like the extra horizontal resolution is SUCH a lifesaver at work and in games the extra fov really gives you extra immersion. I'm loving my monitor and I bet you will become a fan of the res yourself

Longboarders/ skaters message me!
