New laptop, need help picking

So I built my current workstation/gaming rig back in November (specs below post) I'm also sort of kind of looking for a laptop. Mostly so I can do my web browsing and more casual stuff in bed or around the house like watching netflix while cooking dinner or having a movie date in bed. I'd also like to be able to do edits while on the road. We go to anime conventions every so often and I'd love to make videos while we are there, but as I have a full time job and I work 10 hours a day (6pm to 4am) mon-thurs I'm usually exhausted by the weekend... especially the weekend after returning from a convention. I figured I should "embrace the cloud" and with Adobe's Creative Cloud service I can work while I'm away from home which will also be benifical if I'm doing something for a client. However I haven't owned a laptop since my 2008 MacBook and that crapped out about 2 years ago. I'm really not wanting to spend more than $800. My PC was that much (save the GPU which I bought from a friend in June of last year for $120) and I'm all about performance to dollar (if that makes sense) I don't words very well. Anyway thanks for the help

 

TLDR: want laptop, haven't had one since sometime in 2013-ish. hate being tied to desk by my PC, want to be able to do a basic edit and even full premiere project (if need be) CANNOT have any resolution under 1920x1080 I'm a snob about screen resolution sadly Additionally if I could do some light gaming (killing floor 2, L4D 2, Minecraft) basically LAN games then that would be a nice bonus

yeah I saw your suggestion on another post, I'm unfamiliar with mobile GPU's so I don't really know what to look for if I only want to play some of the games I listed above, but I feel like even a 970m would be a tad overkill for those games, let alone a 980m.

Better temps, VASTLY superior speakers for watching movies in bed. Better build quality (metal vs plastic and minimal flex whereas the Dell has some bad screen flex along the hinge area)

yeah, but you can get 6700 for 899

yeah I saw your suggestion on another post, I'm unfamiliar with mobile GPU's so I don't really know what to look for if I only want to play some of the games I listed above, but I feel like even a 970m would be a tad overkill for those games, let alone a 980m. 

960m/860m (same core) are enough for ANY single game at 30fps or greater. Witcher 3 runs at 40-45fps for me on low.

yo mate I didn't know Dell wasn't metal. Also Skylake SHOULD have better battery life AND ddr4. I mean it should be better.
