Can't get into bios

I have a gigabyte motherboard and when I press del to get into bios it just shows up a black screen. This is a new build. But windows works. Anyone know probably why it is not shwoing me anythin. Thanks

Try pressing F2 and Del at the same time and see if that works. If it doesnt then there is something wrong with the Bios. You may need to update it.

Dam think I have done my motherboard in. Just flashed my bios to the newest one and now my PC just keeps on turning on and then after a few seconds turns back off.gosh. I will just tell gigabyte about this issue and hopefully get a free motherboard. I hope
