I'm planning on playing rainbow six siege as my main game. I do play BF4 and am planning to get Fallout 4 soon. Will these specs be able to run these games on ultra 60fps or above?

My system averages me about 100 FPS with these settings.

So I'd expect 60 would be possible for you.

Do you think the 8350 would provide a significant improvement?

An improvement? Probably.

A significant improvement? Don't know.

This isn't really an area I have all that much knowledge in, I'm more interested in cooling and cases. That said, based on the last price I recall seeing an 8350 at, I wouldn't recommend the upgrade unless it was super cheap or free.

It'll probably require more than just God rays down. Fallout 4 is just really poorly optimized.

Oh ok, I always have a mindset that new games are made where like you can't play it ultra without 3 titan x. It's good to know it's just poorly optimized... kinda. ty. Do you think this setup will last 2016?

An i5 is probably a better way to go if it's in the budget, especially if you're interested in Fallout 4. Most DX9, DX10 and DX11 games run better on Intel CPUs... the margin depends on the particular game. Witcher 3 runs pretty well on AMD CPUs, GTA V and Battlefield run better on Intel CPUs just for some examples.

For fallout 4 in particular GamersNexus did some CPU benchmarks:

As you can see even at 5GHz the AMD CPU gets lower FPS than the 3.5GHz i5 in Fallout 4.
