Hello! So I've had a FPS problem with my computer, here are the specs:

i5 4690k 3.5 ghz

Asus Geforce GTX 770 2GB

16 GB Ram

Be quite! dark 3 CPU Cooler

Corsair RM 750W 80+ Gold

And the problem is this: When i play games , specifically World of Warcraft on my main monitor and watch streams on Twitch on my 2nd monitor I get A LOT of fps drops.

With stream on source quality and WoW on high quality i get about  ~30-35 fps.

Without stream on I get about 85-90 on high quality.

I remember on my old PC I did have fps drops BUT not this big of an fps drop.

Even when I turn down the graphics quality to low I still only have about 40-50 fps when watching streams at the same time.

When I turned on task manager I noticed that Google Chrome took 40% of CPU usage while WoW only took about 20-30%

This varies from day to day and streams because other games takes more and other streams have other bitrates and such.

Now when I said this to a friend of mine he got really confused,

because he does NOT have a better PC than me and he still does not have such a big fps drop while doing the same things.

I've tried resetting Chrome settings and that didn't make much of a difference.

The weird part this only happens sometimes and not ALL the time. It varies on what stream I watch, but the FPS drop is still pretty big.

I would appreciate any suggestions or answers that could fix this issue. Thanks.

Watching high quality Twitch streams actually takes a lot of power from the CPU, and WoW is a CPU intensive game. However, the drop shouldn't be that drastic. I'm not sure how Twitch works now that they moved away from Flash player (the video itself is still Flash though), but under Chrome settings, you can enable advanced options and at the very bottom under system you can enable/disable hardware acceleration. Try if having it on or off changes anything.
