Dell Studio 1535 Battery and OS Upgrade

SKOONJar

Hey guys my mom has had a Dell Studio 1535 for quite some time now and it came up with a warning about a year ago that the battery was no good and that it wouldn't hold a charge anymore. So for the last year the thing has been glued to a wall to stay on. Its gotten to the point where I am going to do a nuke and pave on it. So I need help 1 finding a battery for it and 2 finding the right version of windows 7 for it. Its currently running vista( EW ). Its a few years old and hasnt every been reformatted so its well over due.

Ya I was thinking like 40$ max I think I found a extended on through that page however with no compatibility complaints so either way you helped me find it. And I could just install any old version of windows 7?

Or get an upgraded one with 4/5 stars out of 91 reviews. It's got almost twice the capacity.

I have a Dell 1536 and Windows 7 Professional 64 bit works fine.

So 64 ultimate should be fine? Even if its OEM?

You're welcome. I remember, you're the lucky guy who got a Lightning card for half off, and stole the second one.  :P

How's that OC doing for you by the way?

The second one was a 7970 :P. I ran benchmarks worked really good then I ran the 7970 benchmarked that with an oc now I am back to the 680 for productivity reasons. I haven't oc'ed it again trying to find my word document so I can plug and play. They worked really good for the time. Everybody always said the 7900 series was a beast to oc wasn't the case with mine. 680 was a champ from what I remember though.
