Hmm, try using the non commercial version of Team Viewer. As long as the account you are logged into is an administrator than he can have remote administrative access to your pc.

You can find it here.

Thanks, but i do not need teamviewer :)

You need your friend to be able to control your desktop right? (That is usually what remote desktop control is)

There is no "Built-in" Remote Desktop settings in windows. However if you want your friend to connect to your desktop you need to click "Allow Remote Connections" Then use a application like Team Viewer.

I am really confused by what you are saying, your question is really unclear.

there is in pro/buisiness versions of windows. there indeed isnt in plebdows.

Plebdows lmao.

I see, He didn't really say he had Business/Pro version of windows. But I should have assumed that. I don't have a lot of experience in non "plebdows" operating systems.

I can't really help you in this case, sorry.

If you use chrome there's an extension for remote desktop too. Step by step setup included.

i've tried it, and was rather displeased. its like a browser based VNC thats a bit modernized. still not even nearly up to par tho, seeing you can *almost* game trough teamviewer.

theres mostly 3 issues:

- you need the processing power on both sides, and most importantly a decent link. (gigabit is adviced for a smooth experience)

- teamviewer's keyboard input is less than ideal, and the mouse system is basicly impossible to operate.

- teamviewer's window (and fullscreen game) capture is targetted at office applications, and was never designed to work with any form of 3D elements.

For Windows Remote Desktop, you need to be running Windows Professional or Enterprise edition. Home editions don't have this feature.

If you do have Windows 8.x Pro:

Remote Desktop requires that you need to link your PC that wants to be remote desktop to, with the port 3389.

Check in your router configuration for "Port forwarding", and set TCP/UDP port to 3389, and enter your PC LOCAL IP address (Open Command Prompt on the PC, and type in: ipconfig, and hit Enter, to know what is your local IP).

Your account also needs to have a password, if it does already when you login, then great!

Finally, you need to enable Remote Desktop if it hasn't been already, to do this, right-click on the Start button in Windows 8.1, and select "System", click on "Remote Setting" on the left column, and select "Allow remote connection to this computer", and click on OK.

All you need to do is give your friend your Public IP address. Google gives it to you without visiting any site, when you search for "What is my IP?" (https://www.google.ca/search?q=what+is+my+IP&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&gws_rd=cr&ei=zMGPVpmXKcH7-AGM4JDoBA) at the top.

You are now done.Just give your public IP to your friend and your account password, and he can connect to your PC.

If you don't or want something easier:

Use Windows Remote Assistance, built-in Windows.

It is built-in in every Windows since XP (Home and Pro editions of all Windows). Start it up (you can search from it from the start menu/screen search), and you can send an invitation file to someone via e-mail (requires a e-mail client software to be installed on the PC) or manually (a file is created and you can send it in any way you want to your friend), he just double click son it, and enter a password that Windows Remote Assistance will give you, and you are done. He will get Admin permission, once he connects to your PC, click on the "request admin" button on HIS side, which will prompt YOU to yes or no, allow it admin access. And you are done.

-> No router configuration

-> No software to install

-> Safe and secure

-> Fast

-> You can see what the other use does

-> Basic chat system included.
